At As We Go Missions, we are more than Africa focused. Last month, we sponsored a home construction project in Mexico through AMOR Ministries. We took seven people, Mike Woods, Liz Rusher, Nathan Sartori (one of our board members), Kaylee Reber, Austin Miller, and Sherry and Bruce Thacker.
We were joined there by members of the Dayton and Amity Christian Churches from Oregon. That team had eight people and together we spent the Veteran’s Day weekend constructing a home for a family west of Tiajuana.
We started with the concrete slab in place and got the walls up, roof on, and everything ready for a crew to come stucco the outside. This was a challenging build and there are some quirky things we did, but it will serve our family well for a long time. Thanks to AMOR Ministries for making this possible.
We had a great time and a productive trip.
